STORYBOARD | Here is the final storyboard pass. It shows the colors I plan on going for, although in the final animation I brought the colors down a bit. This also shows my first plan for how I wanted to represent my 2D characters. Originally they were going to be outlines, however that changed completely and I instead chose to color them in monochrome colors in the final version

SKETCHES & TEST RENDERS | these are the sketches I drew while envisioning my main character as well as my side characters who would be present within the film. I wanted my main character to really have a sense of color and to really stand out in this drab cold environment

In a world where people are dull impressions of themselves, anyone who shows any form of expression is looked down on. Although trying to dress in a similar color scheme to those around you, it's no match to the stares you might get upon entering the London Tube. This project was my homage to being in London and noticing the black and white clothing of the winter. It was so striking to me that I needed to recreate the feeling.

I really wanted to emphasize story telling and meaning in this film by representing the backgrounds characters as 2D and in black and white to show lack of depth and personality. Our main character is shown in 3D to show volume, meaning and overall.. expression!
